This Aakash iTutor video begins by talking about a matrix. A matrix has rows and columns and signifies data and is also represented by square brackets. The video further gives an example of three different players and their scores in the three different matches. It can have n number of rows and n number of columns. It can be represented with a capital letter A or a with a small letter a with i and j as subscripts, where i is row and j the column. Matrices have a good number of applications including addition and multiplication. The order of a matrix is the number of rows, X, the number of columns. mXn where m is the number of rows and n the number of columns.
